Isabel hid her son’s face from the camera, holding him with both their backs toward it.

She held the infant out and above her head, allowing him to look out over the farm.

Isabel captioned the post: “Mateo’s first snow, so magical.”

The youngster was bundled up in a tiny brown bear suit in the photo.

Fans gushed over the sweet capture.

“Cutest little bear,” Amy Roloff commented.

Several fans defended Isabel’s decision not to feature her baby’s face on social media.

One commenter wrote: “This is a beautiful picture. SHE DOESN’T HAVE TO SHOW HIM TO ANYONE.”

Another wrote: “What a beautiful picture! So happy you and Jacob decided to not share Mateo’s pictures. So special.”

A third commenter said: “Enjoy your baby to the fullest and later when you think it is necessary to show it, you will do it and if not, you will be respected in the same way. God bless you all 3 many blessings and next year will be a million times better than this.”

Although Isabel has chosen not to show her son’s face on Instagram, she has shared several glimpses at the boy.

CELEBRATING TWO WEEKS

In mid-December, Isabel shared another sweet snap of her son online.

She captioned the post: “I have a two week old.”

Isabel shared the photo to her Instagram Story.

Mateo was largely covered in the photo, but a portion of his outfit or blanket, as well as Isabel’s finger tips holding him, could be seen.

The post included a sticker that read: “I love you so, so hard, like the most ever.”

Isabel has shared many snippets of her son since his birth.

After his arrival, she shared a black-and-white photo of his fingers wrapped around hers.

She included several details of his birth, writing: “Mateo Tomás is here and he’s perfect. He came one week ago 12/4 at 12:40 am.”

NO PLANS

She revealed in her post that his birth didn’t go according to plan, writing: “Our birth story didn’t go as planned; as we know life rarely ever does.

“These past few weeks have show me what true surrender and trust looks like. I have never been more hands on my knees afraid and I have also never known. a love so big.

“Seeing Jacob as a father is the most heartwarming thing I have ever witnessed. Being a mother is the most myself I have ever felt.”

She continued: “Through all of this, I am just affirmed now more than ever that our angels are always looking out for us.”

Although the post didn’t feature a full look at the baby, fans and friend gushed over the child in the comments.

Tori Roloff, Isabel’s sister-in-law, commented: “Ahhh da wittle bingies!”

Audrey, who met Mateo recently, wrote: “I love him so much And you are a warrior Izzy. So much of motherhood is surrendering and trusting and you’ve already learned to do that with so much grace. I love you!”

Isabel has had some struggles since Mateo’s birth as well, admitting to feeling “lonely and isolated.”
